EdSets Sonic Series 3G Headsets

ADVANTAGES:  Industry's best sounding and most advanced
wired headset has 3.5mm jack for earbud speakers and other uses,
a two section upper/lower Kevlar core cable system, and can accept
three types of microphones  to fit all helmet styles.   No bulk inside
helmet, just the speakers and mic, if any.  Applicable to all helmet
styles.  All cables are removable and we offer three lower cable
styles for 5 and 6 pin systems as well as a Zumo 550 lower cable.
 
DISADVANTAGES:  Slightly more expensive than 2G kits.  3G module
stays on outside of helmet, but is removable (snap on-snap off) up to
3000 times.

APPLICATIONS: Use in virtually any helmet.  (HJC Symax 2 owners
click for Installation Options and use 2G kits if this mount is not ok.

Choose our "Surface Mic" for Full Face helmets (see gold helmet)
and choose our RCA mount boom mic on 3/4 or Half/Shorty helmets.

For Modular/Flip helmets, we usually recommend the Surface Mic, but
it will travel with the chinbar up and down.  To use a boom mic that stays
in place all the time, choose our internal "TAB" mount boom mic. NOTE: The
chinbar may interfere with the boom when the chinbar is closed.  Check your
helmet before ordering using a bendable soda straw or fat wire between
the cheekpad and helmet shell where you would want your mic to come out.

You may also choose the TAB mic if you you have a face shield on a 3/4
helmet that may prevent the RCA boom mic (on blue helmet)  from being
placed in front of your mouth.

Basic Kit comes with upper cable, speakers & pouches, 3G Module (pointy thing)
and all installation parts and instructions.  You choose lower cable, mic type
and any other desired options when ordering.  Watch as your price  changes

GL1800 Microphone Splitter with 2.5mm Mic Plug.  This cable does one simple thing:  It takes the standard Goldwing 1500/1800 mic signal and sends it to the Goldwing system as usual, but also sends an isolated 'copy' of the signal to the Zumo or other device that has a 2.5mm mic input jack.  This transparent approach allows you to use your Intercom, CB, and the Bluetooth Phone features of the Zumo all at the same time without any switching or adjustments, its all just always available. 

Simple use example:  You install the splitter cable, and plug the 2.5mm jack into your Zumo which is sending its output to your AUX input (or Cassette adapter, or after-market AUX input on the 1500).  You are using your CB and Intercom as usual, but a phone call comes in.  You press the 'answer' key on the Zumo touch screen, and the call automatically routes to your headset so you can speak and listen via the phone.  The Zumo will mute down its MP3 or XM radio while the call is in progress, but you can still use your CB and Intercom while on the phone!

Works with Mic Mutes if you have them.  Install on the 'bike side' of Mic Mutes if you want to cut the mic signal to the Zumo, or install on the 'headset side' of Mic Mutes if you want the signal to the Zumo all the time (Ed's preference).  I like to cut the ICOM/CB while on the phone, so it install the cable first, and THEN the Mic Mutes after on the line.

Wired Microphone for Zumo 550 and similar devices.  This is a popular item for Sport, Sport-Touring and Cruiser riders that use a Zumo 550 with earbuds or other headphones and want a simple way to get a microphone into the helmet to make outgoing phone calls over the Bluetooth capabilities of the 550.

You get your choice of a boom mic that mounts with a 5mm thick 1" square tab with Dual Lock snap-on, snap-off adhesive tape (super strong and "way" durable...) or a surface mounted mic that mounts with a 1" square Velcro pad.  You also get a cable with 2.5mm male plug on one end for the Zumo cradle mic input jack, and a Molex connector on the other end for the microphone to plug into.  Comes with Velcro to 'wrap' around the helmet end of the wire so you can attach the wire and keep the 'load' off the Molex connector.
