Now in their 3rd year, the EdSets 2nd Generation modular headsets have been updated with a new Kevlar Core 'Dongle' or helmet connector.  This new connector uses no-load helical wound tinsel wire cables for super durability, reliability and long life, just like NASA, military and medical applications use for life support and mission critical systems.

We've also added a longer coiled cable in 5 or 6 Pin configurations to fit most factory audio systems, and a universal cable with 3.5mm stereo and 2.5mm microphone plugs to fit most consumer electronics like the Garmin Zumo GPS, many hand held 2-way radios and more.  (Call for more info about compatibility with your system).  The 2G headsets can also be used with our Universal Adapters to allow you to use earbuds instead of helmet speakers, and and also allows you to use the headsets with an iPOD or similar device as an input when no other system is available for audio.

The 2G headsets use the same microphones and speakers as our 3G headsets, so there's never a decision on whether to get the 'good' set or not.  We only have one level of sound quality, and that's our top of the line, best in the industry sound! 

The basic 2G headset includes a coiled cable, our newest Kevlar Core helmet connector (or '2G Module'), two of our Thump-Pump hi-fidelity speakers with patented soft-pocket mounts.  To configure your 2G headset, select a microphone option and any other accessories or extras.

For Full Face, or Modular helmets, select the 'Surface Mounted Microphone' and for Open face or some Modular helmets select the boom microphone.  These two selections are equivalent to our former 'Sonic N-Vader' and 'Sonic Boomer' kits, respectively.
